The biennial Singapore Electricity Roundtable is now open for registration! The event will be held on 29 August 2025 at The Singapore Edition Hotel, Singapore. 

Our Markets and Operations team hosted the 141st session of the bi-monthly Market Information Sharing Forum (MISF) on 15 May.

The monthly average USEP surged by 43.7 percent to $166.35/MWh in May and fell 21.3 percent to $130.90/MWh in June.

In May and June, six new facilities were registered in the National Electricity Market of Singapore (NEMS).

As part of EMC’s Business Continuity Plan (BCP), we conducted multiple exercises throughout the year to ensure staff are well-prepared and equipped to handle any crisis situations. These exercises are a crucial part of EMC’s workplan, designed to test our system readiness and ability to respond quickly, in order to minimise business disruptions in various emergency scenarios.

Previously under the Market Rules, EMC had to ask the Power System Operator’s (PSO)if a new facility threaten the reliability or security of the transmission system before registering a facility. To streamline the process, the PSO had proposed removing this requirement for low-voltage distribution network facilities.

The Market Surveillance and Compliance Panel (MSCP) made two determinations in June 2025.

Our Markets and Operations team hosted the 140th session of the bi-monthly Market Information Sharing Forum (MISF) on 13 March. 

Throughout December last year to February this year, stakeholders of the National Electricity Market of Singapore (NEMS), including market participants (MPs), SP Services,  the Power System Operator (PSO) and EMC, were consulted on the annual Rules Change Panel (RCP) work plan prioritisation exercise.
