The Market Assessment Unit (MAU) under the direction of the Market Surveillance and Compliance Panel (MSCP) has conducted studies in relation to the efficiency and fairness of the National Electricity Market of Singapore (NEMS). Occasional papers on the subjects covered are published.

The MSCP Market Watch is the quarterly publication of the Market Surveillance and Compliance Panel sharing market surveillance observations and market compliance statistics.

Incorporation of solar generation forecasts in the Market Clearing Engine

Two new facilities were registered in the National Electricity Market of Singapore (NEMS) in January and February 2024.

Our Markets and Operations team hosted the 133rd session of the bi-monthly Market Information Sharing Forum (MISF) on 18 January. 

The monthly average USEP tumbled 18.0 percent to $107.71/MWh in January and rebounded 28.1 percent to $137.99/MWh in February.

With the term drawing to a close on 31 December 2023, the EMC Board has appointed several current and new members to the RCP from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2026.

EMC is pleased to announce that the EMC Board has re-appointed Mr Philip Chua to the Market Surveillance and Compliance Panel (MSCP) and Mr George Lim as the Dispute Resolution Counsellor (DRC) for a new three-year term, starting from 1 January 2024.
