Re-appointment of Market Surveillance and Compliance Panel Members 

EMC is pleased to announce that the EMC Board has re-appointed Mr Philip Chua to the Market Surveillance and Compliance Panel (MSCP) for a new three-year term, starting from 1 January 2024.  

EMC commends Mr Chua for his steadfast commitment to continue supporting and strengthening the surveillance and compliance functions of the National Electricity Market of Singapore (NEMS).  

The MSCP, chaired by Professor Walter Woon, consists of distinguish members, including Mr Philip Chua, Professor Euston Quah, Dr Stanley Lai, and Mr Yeo Yek Seng.

Appreciation to Mr T P B Menon for 20 Years of Service

EMC expresses its appreciation to the retiring MSCP member, Mr T P B Menon, for two decades of invaluable service to the NEMS. 

Mr Menon has played a pivotal role as a member of the MSCP since the market’s inception in 2003 and was appointed Chairman of the MSCP from January 2016 to December 2021. His unwavering commitment has added immeasurable value and objectivity to the market surveillance function in the NEMS.

Re-appointment of the Dispute Resolution Counsellor

We are also pleased to announce that the EMC Board has re-appointed Mr George Lim as the Dispute Resolution Counsellor (DRC) for another three-year term commencing on 1 January 2024.

EMC expresses its gratitude to Mr Lim for his continued commitment and dedication to the NEMS.
