Customised Training Programme for Overseas Delegations
In late May, we planned and conducted a two-week industrial training programme for delegates from the Metropolitan Electricity Authority of Thailand. Thailand is embarking on the journey to reform its power sector and the delegation was in town to learn from our experience with restructuring our electricity industry. The customised programme consisted of classroom lectures, sharing sessions by some of our market participants (MPs), and visits to stakeholders in Singapore’s electricity market.
Throughout the program, the delegates had the opportunity to engage in stimulating discussions about various aspects of the Singapore’s electricity market. We trust that the training provided them with valuable insights and facilitated constructive discussions.
In addition, we collaborated with NTPC School of Business to conduct a half-day training session for delegates from India and Nepal. The training covers our insights on the liberalisation of Singapore’s electricity sector and an overview of the National Electricity Market of Singapore (NEMS), including market metrics that we monitor regularly.
